Salman writes some of the most unique and melodic trance you'll ever hear and is constantly moving towards new levels of musical diversity.
Born in the crowded city Dhaka of a small country Bangladesh, Salman is currently living in Australia.
Coming from a music loving family, music was an integral part of his life since childhood.
He has a diverse taste when it comes to music ranging from traditional folk songs of Bangladesh to alter metal to trance.
He says: "When you love music, do not limit yourself to just a single genre, coz there's so much good stuff in all genre that you do not wanna miss out".
But he was never a good singer, and when it comes to playing musical instruments he never learned to play.
Only from listening to more and more songs he developed his skills in rhythm and harmony.
But he never performed anywhere yet I Bangladesh.
His musical career took a u-turn when he moved to Australia for higher education.
Staying away from friends and family bored him.
So he started off his DJ career by attending various student parties in Rockhampton, QLD.
Later that year he visited Sydney where he played in a house party where he accidentally met one of the owners of a club in Rockhampton.
He approached Salman and offered him a residency.
There’s no way he could have said no.
Salman started his residency at William St.
Night Club in Rockhampton where he was playing commercial Dance & R&B.
Later that year Darude did a gig at that event.
He met Darude and was greatly influenced by the conversation he had with him, because soon he started making loops and samples with software downloaded from the web.
At first it all sounded silly and was all fun.
But as time grew, Salman started having sleepless nights and went on to create his very own trance tracks.
He soon rediscovered the wonderful genre of trance/electronica/house.
His nights were mostly spent on making music, then getting few hours of sleep just to give him time to get to university and attend evening classes.
Then on weekends he was playing in front of a crowd of 300-500 at William St.
Within a year or so, Salman produced 6 singles.
Why so long? He said: “I am extremely picky when it comes to choosing the right sound for a track.
I struggle a lot spending hours just to find the right sound for the kick or the high hat or the pad or bass.
In the end I end up with something completely different to what I planned to do.
Plus I did not have a midi keyboard.
I had to use the key editor with mouse to create tracks.
That takes ages!
He took his tracks to the resident DJ at the city’s biggest club “The Stadium.
People at the club were amazed to hear such professional sounds.
They approached him and asked if they could play two of his tracks “Rock da floor and “Summer on weekends.
Later within 3 months, Salman was offered residency at the Stadium where he started playing his favorite tunes - trance anthems, hard trance, and hard house in front of a crowd of aprox.
1000 people between 3-6 on weekend mornings.
His biggest occasion in DJ career was playing on the 31st millennium party in Rockhampton when all the clubs joined together to throw a party in front of a crowd of approx.
4-5000 people near the riverside, East St Rockhampton.
Within 2 years he produced more tracks.
His album, "Field of Dreams" is yet to be released.
Most of his music is purely instrumental and focuses mainly on melodies and harmony with the pleasant combination of piano, synth, and heavy drums and is sure to blow you away.
