Jarno Paappanen started to study piano playing in music school at the age of 7.
He did it for quite a while, but quit his studies nine years later because of lack of motivation.
He produced his first tracks with Commodore Amiga's Protracker-program in year 1990.
In 1999 he bought his first PC and started immediately to make music with many tracker-style programs.
In the year 2000 he moved out of tracker world and bought Creamware's Pulsar 2-board to make some serious music.
Since then he has used a lot of time and hard work in studying to use music sequencer and VA synths.
Marko Mehtonen has been listening to electronic music in some form since he was a kid.
He has always been a music enthusiastic and was totally blown away in the year 2000 when he saw and heard Proteus spinning records.
It was a sum of odd incidents that he even ever started going to raves and clubs, but after just one event it was clear to him that there was no turning back; the love affair with hard beats had begun.
It was a while later that he met Jarno and noticed that they had a lot in common especially when it comes to music.
As Jarno played some of the tracks he had made, Marko felt there was that something extra he could bring to the table.
It was Jarno that taught Marko the basics in producing music and since then they’ve been working together.
Paappanen and Mehtonen made their first tracks together in the year 2000 and formed a team to combine their technical skills and knowledge in music.
They've been searching for their own sound by going to clubs and underground raves together.
From that experience rises the sound of the Pain on Creation.
Finland's most known Hard Dance-DJ, Proteus, has played PoC's tracks on a regular basis during the winter 2003/2004.
Also E-NRG and many other finnish dj's have been spinning their tracks during the spring of 2004 and the boys of Pain on Creation signed their first record deal with FINRG Hard ( finrg.com ) for "Lush", which is going to be published as FINRG Hard002.
